Welcome to the Starhorse
When I was nine or ten years of age I borrowed a book entitled `1001 Questions Answered on Astronomy` from the local library. One of the photographic plates inside was of the Horsehead Nebula in the constellation Orion.
That was the first time that I had ever seen the Starhorse, and shortly after that was the first time that I ever painted it. (In a school copybook with a set of children`s watercolours.)
Since that time I have been painting stars and starships, moons and planets, but somehow I always come back to the image of that great dark horse, unique and alone in all the universe, forever breasting a surging tide of stars and dust

`Up and out, up and out, to where the Starhorse plunges in a sea of light
and tumbles stars like drops of spray from off his foaming mane.`
